Video production is much more labor intensive than meets the eye. In actuality, the actual shooting of the video is only a fraction of the total work that goes into creating a video.
There are three phases to the Video Production process. Depending on the length and scale of the production, these can all vary in expense and execution time greatly.
Pre-Production: pre-production is an essential step to creating any video. This is where you prepare for the project, which includes: concept, budgets, scripts, shot-lists, screen-play, story board, location-scouting, casting, and more. Without a pre-production process, you risk your video going over its allotted time, exceeding your budget, or you might find yourself missing essential content during the editing process.
Production: production refers to the actual shooting of the video. This involves coordinating the talent, videographers, directors, and other staff members. Shooting day requires the entire video-production crew to be firing on all cylinders and sticking to the pre-production plan as diligently as possible. It can be hectic, but our crew has the experience and resources to get the job done smoothly.
Post-production: Post-production is where the magic happens. This is the stage in which all the other stages of production come together and raw-footage is transformed into a complete vision. This stage includes: editing, animation, color-correction, sound editing, video effects, and more. Generally speaking, every 1 minute of edited video requires 1 hour of editing, however this number could be much more depending on the scope of the project.
Distribution: The distribution stage is where we publish the video on whatever medium you choose. In some cases, all this amounts to is implementing the video on your website. However, if you choose to run a video ad, there are a number of channels and strategies for getting your content seen.
